Negros Kali International (NKI) through its master instructor, Jun Marañon formally opened the survival and instructorship in Barangay Balabag Elem. School.

Punong Barangay Joel Rumbines in his opening remarks gratefully acknowledged the initiative of the school principal, Mr. Gilbor I. Camporazo by permitting the NKI group of trainors to train the grades 4, 5 and 6 pupils on Arnis which is now considered as the National Sports of the country.

The Would-Be Math Wizards

Forty volunteered pupils, representing grades one to six of the school had successfully completed the six Saturdays Mathematics Program for regular pupils and for talented ones.

As per DepEd Advisory No. 275, s. 2014, dated July 1, 2014, this program is designed to provide the pupils the opportunity to explore Mathematics without the threat of tests, to review the materials covered last school year, and to prepare the Grade 6 pupils for entrance examinations for the first year high school.

"I Am Here!" - The Clarion

Making things "loud and clear" purports the essence of what a clarion is. This is what the school named its school paper, The Clarion as  the official school paper of Balabag Elementary School. It came out in her maiden issue recently covering the period of June and July school activities.

Mr. Mike Pabalate, Grade VI - Dahlia class adviser was assigned as the school paper adviser in an organizational meeting conducted by the new principal, Mr. Gilbor I. Camporazo before the formal opening of classes in June 2014.

The making of Balabag Elementary School Logo

When the new school principal, Gilbor Camporazo who used Gil Camporazo for his pen name in his blog, officially assumed his office on May 5, 2014, he met with his 16 teachers and discussed with them the present status of the school, its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats on how to utilize them appropriately in accomplishing the school's vision and mission.

And the school logo was one of the agenda taken up since the school was founded with no logo was adopted for school identity and personality. Sir Mike Pabalate, Class Dahlia section adviser of Grade IV, therefore, was tasked to draft a logo and at the same was appointed as the adviser of school paper.

A week later a logo was created and was drawn by the youngest son, Gilbor Camporazo, Jr., of the school principal.

Humble Tribute to School Principal

The school children together with the PTA officers paid a simple tribute to the 16 teachers and their school principal too as one of the series of activities which will culminate on October 5,  the World Teachers' Day.

The teaching force of Balabag Elem. School has its own unique way of giving a humble tribute to their school principal who has been newly assigned to their school for barely 4 months.

Mr. Mike Pabalate, a Grade IV - Dahlia class section adviser, took the honor in reading the following 3-stanza poem during the program intended for giving tribute to the teachers:

Teachers Day: Free Moment from Teaching Job

Sixteen teachers and a school principal of Balabag Elem. School of La Carlota Division took time out from their day-to-day teaching routine  to enjoy with their pupils doing some parlor games like paper dance, trip to Jerusalem in this year Teachers' Day.

The Birth of Balabag Elem. School Website

A website for Balabag Elementary School, Division of La Carlota City has come to being. This will be the virtual portal for the information dissemination of the school not only for the academic performance of the pupils in terms of national academic test but also anything that has transpired while the school is operating in fulfilling her vision, mission and exemplifying her core values.

Balabag Elementary School is one of the 23 elementary schools in the small division of La Carlota. It is a complete elementary school with 16 classroom teachers supervised and managed by a school principal.
